The Argentario and its sea. The true wealth of this land lies in its waters, from the proceeds of fishing that has given support to its people over the centuries, to the tourism sector that has always brought to the headland many people who, yesterday as today, are attracted by the dozens of coves and beaches along the coast. Every cove has its beauty, the colors of the water and those of the sand or the rocks change, but for all of them the same rule holds true that, compared to other tourist resorts, today is a peculiarity: the beaches of the promontory of Monte Argentario, from Porto Santo Stefano up to Porto Ercole, are wild, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, lacking bathing facilities (there are very few exceptions and concern the beaches bordering the inhabited centers) and allow you to experience a day at sea in direct contact with nature. For families with small children and for the younger ones who love the nightlife, the two sandy beaches in particular are recommended: the Giannella tombolo and the Feniglia tombolo where there are establishments, bars and water games. In particular in Feniglia, there is the bathing establishment The yellow tent where you can rent beach umbrellas, sunbeds, canoes and paddles, and with the adjacent Playa del Can which also allows your four-legged friends the possibility of taking a bath in the area beach front bordered by buoys (available for dogs, fresh water, shaded area and hygienic sachets).

For all the guests of the promontory a tip: above all in the periods of greater tourist influx (July and August) all the beaches can also be reached with the shuttle buses made available free of charge by the Municipality of Monte Argentario (for the activation period and times visit the site https://www.comunemonteargentario.gov.it/).
